Short Term Loans

The maximum loan amount is $500.00. All Short-Term Loans will be direct deposited into the student’s bank checking/savings account. Students may open a BankAtlantic account at no cost. Applying for the Short-Term Loan is done on the web through MYFAU, under Money Matters section or click   http://www.fau.edu/finaid/resources/instructions.php

• Service Fee:

A $5.00 service fee is charged to the student’s account balance once a Short-Term Loan is disbursed.

• Loan Repayment:

The repayment of the Short-Term Loan is due by forty-five calendar days from the date of disbursement.
