In October, Dr. Dobrin went to the The 19th Cochrane Colloquium, held in Madrid, Spain, where he presented for both the Cochrane Justice Health Field and the Cochrane Collaboration College for Policy. From there he went to London, for training at the British Medical Journal Evidence 2011: Transforming Healthcare symposium. With little time to rest, he then presented at the 139th meetings of the American Public Health Association in Washington DC in November, and from there went to Bethesda, MD to moderate and present at the Cochrane Justice Health Field's Conference on Evidence-based Correctional Health Care, supported by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). This was a meeting that linked academic researchers with high-level correctional medical administrators from jails, prisons, private healthcare, and the World Health Organization's Health in Prisons Project, in order to expand the use of quality evidence in guiding correctional health care policies.
