College campuses across the country are experiencing dramatic and exciting changes consistent with the demographic shift in the U.S. population. The emergence of new and diverse student organizations reflects the ever-changing landscape of our country. Groups representing gender-based issues; students of every ethnic background; students facing physical challenges; LGBT students and students with religious involvement are bringing visibility and voice to the needs and wants of the campus community.
In order to meet this ever-changing environment of diversity, the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs will be offering A CAMPUS OF DIFFERENCE™ training for all interested Florida Atlantic University faculty and staff.
The A CAMPUS OF DIFFERENCE™ program is an anti-bias diversity training program which helps participants increase their self-awareness and learn to appreciate diversity on campus. The four hour training sessions are designed to enhance the university's ability to build a stronger community and make proactive changes regarding the challenges faced on our campuses.
The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs will be conducting training. Please visit the Equal Opportunity Programs webpage and click on training calendar for more information.
