Other Types of Loans Available
There are several types of loans that students and/or parents may apply for to assist them with educational expenses.
1. Federal Perkins Loan - For Undergraduate and Graduatestudents ONLY enrolled at least half-time.
2. Graduate PLUS Loans - for Graduate Students ONLY.
3. Parent PLUS Loan - for Parents of Dependent Ungraduate Students
4. Private Student Loans - Used when all federal loan program
options have been exhausted.
5. Short Term Advance - for degree-seeking students enrolled
half-time at FAU. Maximum loan amount is $500. Students must meet additional eligibility criteria. Click on link above.
