Rovner

Michal Rovner has referred to her images as "recordings" because often they begin as video tape recordings of situations from which the image is selectively re-recorded or erased. Her eventual representation of her still images – greatly enlarged and in colors the artist has chosen – appears to be as painterly as it is photographic.
