CULTURAL COMPETENCY TRAINING

Cultural Competency and Diversity Training sessions are designed to be an open forum for participants to candidly discuss concerns, challenges, and opportunities for growth where workplace diversity, or the lack thereof, is concerned. Concepts and theories of bias, sensitvity, tolerance and perception are presented in order to:
- Increase awareness of the participant's own biases and experience of difference
- Promote mutual respect in a growing multicultural environment
- Facilitate dialogue amongst co-workers on the issues of difference, cultural sensitivity and communication
The next Diversity 101 Training class is scheduled for:
Tuesday, April 28th
9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the HR Conference Room on the Boca campus. Space is limited. Employees can register online at http://fau.timetrade.com.
