In 2009, the Jack Miller Forum hosted its first major conference on American Democracy and Civics Education. The four-day event brought national and international scholars from a variety of backgrounds to Boca Raton to present academic and policy papers on a wide range of topics.
General support for the conference was provided by the Department of Political Science at Florida Atlantic University, the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters, the National Endowment of the Humanities and the Jack Miller Center.
