Jack Miller Forum Reading Room

Florida Atlantic University’s Jack Miller Forum for Civics Education was selected in 2008 to participate in a pilot program designed to create democracy and civics education reading rooms on select American campuses. The Liberty Fund Book Placement for Partner Programs of The Jack Miller Center selected six universities to house a collection of 400 hardbound classic books on the subject of American democracy and civics education. In addition to FAU, other schools selected to participate in the pilot program include Brown University, Roosevelt University, Christopher Newport University, the University of Texas-Austin, and the University of Indiana.

The Jack Miller Reading Room is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public for private reading, democracy-based events and thoughtful discussion of American democracy and civics education. During the school year, the Jack Miller Reading room will host undergraduate political workshops. The room is located in Social Science 387.
