Through a collaborative partnership between the Edna Hibel Art Foundation and Florida Atlantic University, the Hibel Fine Arts Complex was established on the John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter, Florida.
The buildings, encompassing more than 10,000 square feet, provide the MacArthur Campus with display areas for traveling exhibitions from a wide variety of art institutions, space for a collection of artwork by internationally renowned artist Edna Hibel, classrooms and academic offices. The facility is a valuable art resource for FAU students and faculty, as well as for the entire community.
As art education is rooted in the concept of nurturing extraordinary talent for the benefit of both the individual and society at large, Edna Hibel's life and work stand as shining examples of such broad-based education. They present a vision of what can be accomplished by a person with talent, dedication and a generous spirit.
Florida Atlantic University is privileged to have the opportunity to merge Edna Hibel's vibrant legacy with the University's educational mission.
The museum is open to the public free of charge. For hours of operation, call 561.622.5560.
