Albright was the 64th Secretary of State of the United States.  In 1997, she was named the first female Secretary of State and became, at that time, the highest ranking woman in the history of the U.S. government.  Prior to her appointment, she served as the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and as a member of President Bill Clinton's Cabinet and National Security Council.  As Secretary of State, Albright reinforced America's alliances, advocated democracy and human rights, and promoted American trade and business, labor and environmental standards abroad.

She is the chair of Albright Stonebride Group, a global strategy firm, and chair of Albright Capital Management LLC, an investment advisory firm facused on emerging markets.

Albright is author of four New York Times best sellers.  Her next book, Prague Winter, is slated for release in May 2012.  It tells the story of Albright's experiences and those of her family during and immediately after World War II, thus providing a fresh lens through which to view some of the modern era's most tumultous years.
