Master of Arts with Major in Music - Music History/Literature Track
Music master students must meet ALL Music Department and Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters admission requirements.
Admission Requirements:
1. A baccalaureate degree in music.
2. A combined GRE score in 1000. The Music Department may support a petition to waive a lower GRE score if in the last 60 credits of undergraduate course work the student attained a 3.0 GPA.
3. An initial interview with the departmental coordinator to discuss the program.
4. A satisfactory performance audition. Students cannot register for any graduate courses in the music program until they have successfully completed the entrance audition.
5. Placement examinations in music theory and music history. (Master of Arts Entrance Requirements: Placement Exams)
