Parent and Family Weekend 2012

Join us for Parent and Family Weekend 2012! This is a great excuse to come visit your son or daughter as well as experience FAU's campus life, athletic and social activities.
Activities for the weekend include a Wine and Cheese Reception, the Owl Parent Association Meeting, a tailgate before the football game (vs. North Texas), the football game and our Sunday Brunch.
Priority Registration deadline is no later than 8 AM on September 10, 2012. Late Registration is open from 8:01 AM on September10, 2012 through 8AM on September 17, 2012.
The cost of Priority Registration for Owl Parent Association Member families is $85 per parent/guest. The cost for non-Member families is $130 for the first parent/guest and $85 per each parent/guest thereafter. Cost for all FAU students is $45 per student.
The cost of Late Registration for Owl Parent Association Member families is $95 per parent/guest. The cost for non-Member families is $140 for the first parent/guest and $95 per each parent/guest thereafter. Late Registration cost for all FAU student is $55 per student.
• FAU Family of the Year Essay Information:
Students of Owl Parent Association Members: Nominate your family or the FAU Family of the Year! All you have to do is write a double-spaced, one page essay on why we should choose your family as the FAU Family of the Year. Please submit all essays to owlparents@fau.edu no later than Noon on Friday, September 7. You can also drop off the essay to our office in the Student Union, Room 206. The Family of th Year Committee will decide who wins and announce the winner during the weekend. There will be a special prize for you and your family.
Kick for Books Information:
Owl Parent Association Member Parents: The winner will be randomly picked from people that are attending the weekend and will be notified via e-mail prior to the weekend. (Please note: Winners will be selected from those who registered during the Priority Registration). If you make the field goal, you will win a $500 stipend for your student for books from our FAU bookstore. If you miss, don't worry, you will still win a $250 stipend just for making the attempt. Plus, you get to stand on the football field.
