Temporary Lot Construction - posted 6/25/09The construction of a temporary parking lot on the Boca Raton campus in a location north of Lee Street across from the Alumni Center started on June 23. When complete, this lot will provide 120 temporary parking spaces to handle overflow and displaced parking due to the construction of Phase II of the Recreation & Fitness Center and during the permanent reconstruction and expansion of Lot 4, which is scheduled to begin in mid-July. The temporary parking lot is located approximately 300 feet away from the limits of the existing Conservation Area (also called the Preserve), and there is no impact on the existing wildlife and native plant species.
