Florida Atlantic University Police is a full-service law enforcement agency.   All officers are state certified sworn law enforcement officers.

Patrol is the backbone of the police department, and is the division most people on campus will come into contact with.  Patrol is comprised of Road Patrol, and the Police Cyclists Unit.

Police Cyclists Unit

The Police Cyclist Unit (PCU) consists of trained officers on police package bicycles equipped to perform both emergency and non-emergency responses throughout the entire FAU Campus.  The unit provides detailed patrol through parking lots, Residence Halls, Student Apartments, inner campus and field areas where cars are not able to gain access.

Road Patrol

Road Patrol makes use of marked police vehicles along with golf carts and walking patrols, to effectively ensure safety and security for all students, faculty, staff and visitors of the university.  Officers enforce traffic laws, investigate and report criminal activity and assist crime prevention in keeping FAU one of the state's safest Universities.
