Department of Political Science
The mission of the Department of Political Science is to offer a firm grounding in all aspects of the discipline of political science while ensuring flexibility for students to design programs of study to fit their particular needs through the selection of electives.
The B.A. program is designed to provide a broad overview of the discipline of political science and is also suitable for students planning to attend law schools. The M.A. program is designed to prepare graduates for doctoral work in the area of political science, employment in government, and the private sector, or as qualified instructors of political science in community colleges.
