Sharon Gentry, Senior Assistant to the Provost

Sharon Gentry is the Senior Assistant to the Provost. In this role, she represents the interest of the Provost and acts as a liaison to various University units as well as FAU’s Board of Trustees. She works closely with Vice Presidents and their staff members as well as members of the Provost’s Advisory Council and the Deans Council and their associated staff.
Sharon earned her M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership and her B.S. in Organizational Management with a triple concentration in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Entrepreneurship from Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA). Prior to coming to FAU, Sharon served as the Associate Vice President for Presidential and Trustee Relations at PBA where she was employed for 16 years.
Sharon is a fifth generation Floridian and has served as a chaperone for student leadership trips on more than a dozen international travel experiences in such countries as China, Korea, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, England, Scotland, Hungary, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Lichtenstein and Switzerland. In addition, Sharon volunteers hundreds of hours annually with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit.
