Patricia S. E. Darlington teaches courses in intercultural communication, ethnicity and communication, minorities and the media, and leadership and communication. She is also a Faculty Associate for both Ethnic Studies and Women’s Studies programs and holds a joint appointment with the College of Nursing. Her research is focused on the study of women, power, and ethnicity and the exploration of cultural identities in the United States. Recent publications include the coauthored book Women, Power, and Ethnicity: Working Toward Reciprocal Empowerment. She is also Co-Director of the Intercultural Communication Sequence.
