Ruth von Spalding

Ruth von Spalding teaches interactive multimedia, new media narrative and web technologies. Prior to coming to Florida, Ruth taught multimedia courses at a community college in Los Angeles. She worked as a photojournalist, taught media workshops and worked as a freelance editor for German National Television, National Broadcast Station, Zweite Deutsche Fernsehn (ZDF), Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) and Phoenix National (documentary channel). Her interest in interactive storytelling incorporates research into the cultural effects of worldwide globalization. Ruth’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She believes that the unique vision of an artist plays an important role in integrating the technical with the intuitive, humanity with technology.
