Teacher of Year Nominations
The Faculty Talon Leadership Award is presented annually by the Alumni Association during Homecoming Week. The award is designed to recognize faculty who have a demonstrated record of exceptional leadership, commitment and service to FAU students. Consideration focuses on contributions outside the classroom and regular advising activities.
Applications for the award are requested. The application letter should clearly identify the applicant by name, University department, phone number, and email address. It should contain a concise statement concerning the activities that serve as the basis for the application. Letters of support from students and colleagues are always welcome.
The award will be presented at a reception on Tuesday, Oct. 11, starting at 5:30 p.m. The recipient of this award is expected to be present for recognition.
One well-organized copy of the complete application materials (including a table of contents) should be submitted in a 3-ring binder no more than 1 inch thick to:
UFS Honors and Awards Committee,
Attn: Louise Perez, Provost's Office, ADM-309, Boca Campus. Nominations should arrive at Ms. Perez's office no later than 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Please excuse the short notice, which resulted from the fact that this year's award ceremony will take place on an earlier-than-usual date. Thank you in advance for taking the time to nominate worthy individuals for this major university-wide recognition.
For more information, please contact Dr. Sunil Babbar, chair of the UFS Honors and Awards Committee, at email@example.com or 7-3179.The News Archives
