TESTING AND EVALUATION
The HESI entrance exam is required for admission to the traditional and accelerated undergraduate nursing programs. It evaluates general knowledge in areas of math, reading comprehension, anatomy and physiology, and grammar at FAU and may include other topics for other schools and is used to assess each student's strengths and weaknesses. The HESI is a computer based test. For those students taking the HESI for FAU, you will be allowed 3 hours to complete the 4 sections listed above. For those students taking the HESI for Broward College, you will be allowed 4 hours to complete the 4 sections listed above plus vocabulary.
At FAU's Nursing Program
HESI entrance exams are generally offered during the Fall whereas the HESI mid-curriculum and exit exam are only given at certain times that you will be aware of once you are in the nursing programs.

From I-95 take exit #45, which is also known as Glades Road.
From Florida Turnpike take exit #75, which is also known as Glades Road.
Go east, towards the ocean, on Glades Road and make a left on 1st FAU entrance (Broward Avenue). Once on campus turn right onto Indian river Street then turn left onto Dade Avenue. Visitor parking is on the left; located on the south end of the student support services building (also known as SU 80). If you do not have an FAU parking decal you must park in the visitor's parking lot. All visitors must pay to park at FAU. - Be aware that there are TWO COSTS and both must be paid at least 48 hours in advance. Please wait until you receive an email from the Testing office(not to be confused with the PrepBlast email) before purchasing your exam code.If you do not receive an email from FAUTesting at least 48 hours prior to your test date, contact FAU Testing at 561-297-3160 . - YOU MAY NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS ON TEST DAY
- A non-expired government issued photo ID is required and must be presented prior to testing. Your photo ID must match exactly the name you used when registering . Student ID's will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- You must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your testing time. Please be prompt. No late arrivals will be admitted .
- Bring your administration fee email receipt sent to you by Prepblast.
- Bring your email exam code fee receipt sent to you by Elsevier.
- All testing fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and the test may not be rescheduled.
- COSTS - Test Administration Fee: $28, and an Exam Code Fee: $34

You can register to take it at the Prometric Testing center located on FAU's Boca Raton campus. You can call Prometric at 1-800-856-4308 and ask for the Elsevier's HESI exam or register online at www.Prometric.com, the HESI exam will be listed as Elsevier.
