Why should I take a prep course?
Know What To Expect. You could do it alone, but why take the chance? Any exam is difficult if you do not know what to expect. Getting an overview of the test’s format, refreshing your memory on what you have already learned, and taking practice tests will go a long way toward getting you ready for the exam.
Handling Anxiety. Many people become anxious when they are being tested, which can negatively impact their scores. Becoming familiar with the test format and subject matter, and developing confidence in your score potential (through taking structured practice tests prior to your exam) is the best strategy for reducing test anxiety.
Affordable & Accessible. FAU Test Prep is a department within the Division of Undergraduate Studies at Florida Atlantic University, a division of the state university system, and as such, is a non-profit service for FAU students and the communities-at-large in the Boca Raton, Davie, and Jupiter communities. Our fees, therefore, are significantly less than those charged by the commercial test prep companies. Equally important, if after completing one of our test prep courses, you do not earn your goal score, you may re-take the course anytime, within one year, for an administrative fee of $50 per course.

Flexible registration. FAU offers continuous enrollment opportunities online right up to the day your test prep course begins, if space is available.
Who is eligible to register for preparatory courses?Our test preparation courses are non-credit courses and are open to the general public, in addition to FAU students.
Will my preparatory course show up on my transcript?No. The test preparatory courses will not appear on your transcript. You will not receive a letter grade for this course.

If you must cancel, please notify us by phone or fax at least 48 hours before the
course begins. You will receive a full refund minus a $15 processing fee for each course. If less than 48 hours notice is given you will be charged a $40 processing fee for each course. No cancellations will be accepted AFTER a course begins. If a course is cancelled by us for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
You can receive a 10% team discount on selected courses when three or more people from one company enroll in the same non-credit course. We ask that you enroll at the same time and use one method of payment.
Do I have to purchase a parking decal?Yes. Parking permits or decals are required on all FAU campuses. You must purchase a parking permit for $15 at the time of registration. For more information on the Traffic/Parking Office location and office hours, call 561-297-2771.
