THE FLANNERY O'CONNOR COLLECTIONFlannery O'Connor image
The Ina Dillard Russell Library established the Flannery O'Connor Collection in 1946, when her first story was published. Additional manuscripts were given to the library by Regina Cline O'Connor in 1970. The collection has been enhanced since then and is accessible for scholarly research.
THE OLD GOVERNOR'S MANSIONConsidered one of the finest examples of High Greek Revival architecture in the nation, the mansion is located on the GC campus and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973. It was restored from 2001-2005 following extensive historical and structural research, and is open for tours.

In 1996, U.S. Senator Paul Coverdell donated his Peace Corps papers to the Ina Dillard Russell Library. In 1999, impressed with the GC mission, he officially donated his United States Senate papers to the library.MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
This museum opened in Herty Hall in 2004 and boasts one of the largest fossil vertebrate collections in the Southeast. Hundreds of school children visit each year.
Natural History MuseumPLANETARIUM
Planetarium
Located next to the Natural History Museum, the planetarium is used for astronomy labs and enables GC students to carry out real astronomical observations on a simulated but realistic sky. The Planetarium highlights space telescope observations and is available as a field trip experience for local school children.
GC MUSEUMThe GC Museum galleries offer opportunities for exploration of interdisciplinary topics. Home to the Flannery O'Connor Room, a permanent exhibit honoring her life and career, the Museum has a fully equipped Education Room available for special occasions, lectures and programs. The Museum serves as the official Welcome Center for prospective students and their families, as well as other visitors.

Fine Arts Museum
The Lucy Underwood House, designed by prominent Atlanta architect Philip Schutze, now provides Georgia College’s free-standing arts gallery. News release available.

CAMPUS THEATREThe Campus Theatre, a Milledgeville landmark since 1935, has been renovated to house the Department of Theatre, a flexible performance space and the university bookstore that also serves the community.
