Georgia College is designated as a residential institution. As such, it must provide most, if not all, of the goods and services which might be reasonably needed or expected by a student living on campus. These items include services including living accommodations, food services, and store facilities. Auxiliary Services exists to furnish these services directly or indirectly to students, faculty, and staff and charges a fee directly related to the cost of providing the service.
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, directs our department not only to be self-supporting but to provide goods and services to the general public only incidentally. This means that our services must be restricted to the campus community. The Division exercises care not to compete with local merchants.
Providing goods and services to students, faculty and staff in keeping with the missions of the University System of Georgia and of Georgia College is our business and our pleasure.
