Associate of Applied Business in Business Management Technology

In the twenty-first century, business operations are becoming more complex, and the demand for salaried managers and administrators is expected to increase faster than the average for all occupations. Earning an Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management Technology from Kent State University's School of Technology will help you be more competitive in the work force. The program has an excellent core of studies, including written and oral communication, management skills, accounting, marketing, economics, liberal arts courses, and more.

The program offers technical options that allow you to specialize your studies. You can choose from a variety of areas such as marketing/sales, entrepreneurship/small business, manufacturing management, and general business management. There are service learning and internship opportunities to help you link theory with hands-on experience. The associate's degree is granted after the successful completion of 64-68 semester hours of coursework.

Most of the credits earned in the Associate of Applied Business degree in business management technology can be applied toward the School of Technology's 2+2 program for a Bachelor of Science degree in technology or industrial technology. Students interested in the 2+2 option should consult with an adviser. Many of the credits earned in the associate's degree can also be applied to the business management major in the College of Business Administration.
