Compass Testing Information
COMPASS and Basic Skills Courses
All entering students who have not taken the SAT/ACT are required to take COMPASS, a computer based placement test. These tests will determine if you need some review in math, English, reading, and study strategies. The courses will give you the background you need to be successful in your other classes. Call 440-834-4187 for the Geauga Campus or 330-487-0574 for the Twinsburg Academic Center to set up an appointment.
When do we offer COMPASS testing?
To find out COMPASS testing dates and times for the summer and fall, please call 440-834-4187 (Burton) or 330-487-0574 (Twinsburg).
What Does COMPASS include?
The computerized assessment is divided into three sections: Reading, writing and mathematics. In addition, some students may be asked to complete a writing sample.
The directions for moving through each assessment are easy to follow even if you have not used a computer before.
I'd like to take a COMPASS practice test. Is there a sample COMPASS test available?
