WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Student Organizations

Our campus organizations are starting to swing into full gear.  Make sure to keep your eye out for flyers and emails about getting involved.  Here is a list of organizations we have on our campus as well as the contact person. 

S.W.A.P./Adult Student Group

Students Who Are Parents (S.W.A.P.) is an online community, designed to act as a forum for student-parents to share tips and advice, arrange for child-care, and more.

Students Interested in Business

If you are interested in business or are majoring in a business-related major, this group is for you!

Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassadors (S.A.s) serve as student body representatives to various offices and departments at KSU-Geauga.  As an S.A., you can be the voice of student concerns so that our campus continues to meet student needs and help you succeed.

Gaia Society

Locations:  Burton & Twinsburg

Pronounced "guy-a," this is the Science and Environmental student organization and provides students the opportunity to learn more about their academic interests through participation in campus and community service opportunities.  Members are also encouraged to participate in research opportunities in Burton and in Twinsburg.

NSNA@RAC

Location: Twinsburg

The National Student Nurses' Association at the Regional Academic Center (NSNA@RAC) is open to all nursing and pre-nursing majors seeking the Associate Degree in Nursing. The NSNA is a national organization with 60, 000 members nationwide. Official members of the NSNA can attend national and state conventions, receive NSNA's official magazine, Imprint, receive discounts on a variety of products and services, and apply for NSNA scholarships. Our local chapter at the RAC has a full student-run officer panel, including a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publicist. While you must be a card-carrying member of NSNA to hold an office, anyone may participate in meetings and activities. NSNA@RAC provides opportunities for leadership, service, networking, mentoring, and fun! Make a difference- Get Involved!

Pride

Pride is a support organization for allies and members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.

Veteran's Group

Contact:  Dave Chappell ( dchappel@kent.edu)

Locations:  Burton & Twinsburg

The Veteran's Group is open to all who are tied to the military—those who have served, are serving, and those who are the support system for retired and active-duty armed forces personnel.  Share your stories with others who understand; be knowledgeable about how KSU-Geauga can assist you in your college career.

Campus Crusade for Christ

Location:  Burton & Twinsburg

Campus Crusade for Christ is a non-denominational group of students who wish to explore and deepen their commitment to the Word of God.  CC meets for fellowship, outreach, and various activities.
