DID YOU KNOW? Georgia Perimeter College is a star among Georgia colleges when it comes to offering foreign languages. In comparison to state universities, four year colleges and other two year colleges, GPC provides more students with more languages than any other. Only the research universities surpass our numbers. The University System of Georgia website keeps statistics on the teaching of foreign languages at the state institutions. Georgia Perimeter College plays an important role, and has an opportunity to boast about its offerings of languages. According to the latest statistics, GPC is the only two year college offering Chinese, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, and only one of two offering Japanese. This is an important asset when we consider the number of students who can manage 3-4 years of critical languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian during their undergraduate education. When we consider the business and education environments of Atlanta, this is certainly a program worth supporting and advertising.
