Web Content Services produces, manages and oversees posting of all GPC web content for mission critical areas including the GPC homepage, President's site, Enrollment Management group sites and the Marketing and Public Relations site.
Web Content Services assists internal staff in determining the structure and content of GPC department web pages and offers some assistance in Web site project management and creation. All department Web site projects are prioritized by the strategic plan and must receive prior approval from the Chief Public Relations Officer/Director of Marketing.
GPC staff members are expected to attend Web training courses before creating or maintaining GPC Web sites. Additionally, instructional technologists are available on every campus who are trained to assist with the technical aspects of building Web pages. Contact the campus instructional technologist for more help. For problems with the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), contact the office of training and communications for assistance.
The Assistant Director of Web Content and Publications is the Web site producer of the Marketing and Public Relations Web pages and In the Loop online. Web Content Services also edits the homepage main photos, content, events calendar listings and manages the GPC YouTube Channel, GPC Tweets and the GPC Facebook Fan page.
Events Calendar Listings: Events calendar submissions must be sent to Web Content Services 48 hours prior to the event by filling out the events calendar listing form. SUBMIT AN EVENT.
Got a photo for the homepage? Email the photo with a detailed description to the Assistant Director of Web Content and it just might be used on the GPC homepage. Be advised that the photo will be reviewed by the Assistant Director of Web Content to determine whether it meets homepage photo standards.
