Welcome to the new and improved Office of Information Technology website. Our goal is to create a customer service centric site that provides self-help capabilities, multiple methods of locating information and interacting with the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
OIT provides information technology services and resources that support and enhance Georgia Perimeter College’s teaching, learning, research, and administrative activities.  

What's going on in OIT?

In Fall 2010, Georgia Perimeter College introduced mediaSPOT to the Dunwoody and Clarkston campuses.  The mediaSPOTs are state-of-the-art media production and post-production computer labs that offer equipment checkout, training, and other media services for all currently enrolled GPC students. Each MediaSpot features Mac Pro workstations with Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Logic, and more!  Students can learn professional video, audio, and photography techniques through short, hands-on workshops offered throughout the year.

May 24th, 2012 - Regarding Memorial Day Holiday!

The Service Desk will be closed from Saturday, May 26th through Monday, May 28th for the Memorial Day holiday. We will resume normal operation at 7:00am on Tuesday, May 29th. For concerns or questions, please email us or call us at (678) 891-3460 and we will return your call on Tuesday, May 29th.

Blackboard Vista, Desire2Learn, iCollege and What it Means to You
Georgia Perimeter College is pleased to announce that the University System of Georgia has selected Desire2Learn (D2L) to replace Blackboard (WebCT) Vista. GPC's learning management system known as iCollege will no longer be powered by Blackboard Vista per the recommendation of the USG Learning Management System Transition Task Force. The LMS Task Force was charged with recommending a Learning Management System to replace the current system that will no longer be supported by Blackboard effective January 2013.
An LMS software application is designed to manage online classroom activities and includes functionality such as a learning repository for course content, assignments, discussion boards, messaging, assessment, grades, and communications between faculty and students.
