Reid Christenberry, AVP Information Technology/CIO

J. Reid Christenberry is the Chief Information Officer at Georgia Perimeter College. In this capacity, he is responsible for a wide range of support and services to faculty, staff, students and administrative offices. Christenberry also oversees and directs the Office of Information Technology (OIT), which is the enterprise IT organization. He joined Georgia Perimeter College in 2008 as the Assistant Vice President and CIO of the institution.
Before GPC, he served as: Associate Vice Chancellor for Information & Instructional Technologies Operations, for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia; Vice President for Information Technology & CIO of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; Associate Provost & CIO at Georgia State University; Director of Information Technology for Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville; and Director of Financial Information Systems at the University of Georgia. He earned his Master of Science degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and his Bachelor of Science from Furman University. He has served nationally in EDUCAUSE, the national professional association of higher education IT professionals, in numerous leadership and committee roles including serving as the international EDUCAUSE Conference Chair in 2006.
With over forty years of leading higher education IT organizations, Mr. Christenberry is recognized at the national level as a leader who can plan strategically, align the institution’s IT organization with institutional goals and directions, create customer-focused IT organizations through transparent IT governance, and effectively deploy resources to accomplish innovation and national prominence for the institution. As CIO, he works at the Executive Team level to reveal information technology as a strategic asset of higher education.

Dexter Banks is the Director of Technology Support Services in the Office of Information Technology at Georgia Perimeter College.  Our vision is “to provide an IT environment that removes or minimizes barriers.  Our services will empower end-users by making technology accessible, highly functional, and more productive in helping them to achieve organizational goals.”  Dexter leads a dynamic team responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to our customers of the academic and administrative community.  His area of responsibility includes functions such as Technology Support, endeavors to provide value added technical customer support for our desktop and classroom environments.  Classroom and Events Technology supports the design of technologically enhanced learning spaces, provides administration of student use computer labs, and also gives support to college sponsored events.  The Technology Service Desk provides central point of contact support for the GPC communities technology needs, challenges and questions.  Multiple channels of communications are available for customers to contact us for assistance to include email, telephone, web forms, and our online self service center.


Glenn Sierko, Assistant Director of Classroom & Event Technologies

Glenn Sierko is the Assistant Director of Classroom and Event Technologies. He administers a team over three key areas within the Educational Technology unit of OIT. The first includes the newly developed Jagspot open computer labs located college wide. Jagspots provide access for students to the latest in computer technologies and software as well as business office functions and hands-on technical support. There are one or more of these locations on each campus containing anywhere from 25 to 75 seats supported by as many as 70 part time employees.   Second, the Event Technologies group coordinates technology requests for the delivery, set up and training for all of the colleges on and off campus events, as well as graphical design for digital signage content delivery for more than 30 flat panel displays located throughout the campuses. The Events group is also responsible for the college’s high definition multipoint videoconferencing systems located on each of the campuses. Finally, Glenn provides design and implementation of audio visual systems for all new and renovated classrooms and meeting spaces on all  GPC campuses.

Susan Kirschner, Service Desk Manager

Sue Kirschner is the Service Desk Manager at Georgia Perimeter College.  In this role, she develops, leads and motivates the Service Desk Team to deliver excellent support with outstanding customer service, satisfaction and timeliness.  She establishes and enforces Service Desk service level agreements and continually measures and monitors team performance through various statistical and reporting methodologies.

Ken Quattlebaum is the Director of Information Systems and is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise-wide systems including Banner Student information Systems, Web Technologies, Shared Services hosted by the Board of Regents, and Information Management and Reporting which includes Banner Business Intelligence and COGNOS.  Ken works closely with customers to ensure that all enterprise-wide systems and resources meet their needs and communicates any issues related to resource availability.  Ken manages and maintains close working relationships with institutional vendors and BOR representatives providing support to enterprise-wide systems.

Mark Elliott is the Assistant Director for Student Information Systems.  Mark leads the Student Information Systems (Banner SIS) Team responsible for supporting the Banner Student Information System.  Mark works with enrollment and student financial services administrators; with faculty, staff and students; with software vendors; and University System of Georgia IT service providers (ITS) in support of student information systems and the business processes served by them.  Mark’s role is to develop, monitor and improve business automation for student information systems through Banner software and GPC custom software development.

Pam Joseph is the Assistant Director of Web Technologies for the Information Systems division for the Office of Information Technology. Pam manages the Web Technologies team and leads a team of four web developers that are responsible for creating and maintaining institutional web pages as well as web based applications including eSAMS, SMARTS, GetMyLogin, Signup, StudentSignup and PollingStation among others.

Michelle Arth, Assistant Director of Administrative Systems

Michelle Arth is the Assistant Director of Administrative Systems at Georgia Perimeter College, leading the team responsible for providing support for PeopleSoft/Oracle Financials and ADP Administrative ERP systems.  Her team serves as the first point of contact for our employees to resolve system issues and provides system expertise including data extraction and report writing.  She serves as a liaison with external sources, such as Information Technology Services and the Shared Services Center, to be a voice for Georgia Perimeter College and to facilitate the implementation of best practices in our administrative systems.  Her team strives to take care of the needs of our employees at the highest level of professionalism and customer service.  Prior to joining Georgia Perimeter College in 1998, she worked for the University System of Georgia in the Office of Information and Instructional Technology.

Janna Kelley is the Associate Director of Information Management and Reporting in Georgia Perimeter College’s Office of Information Technology. She is responsible for managing internal requests for student and academic reports. Mrs. Kelley works with the administration, faculty and staff across the institution to address the internal reporting needs of the College. She also oversees and conducts employee training on the College's Business Intelligence Reporting System.

Chris Burge is the Chief Technology Officer in the Office of Information Technology at Georgia Perimeter College. He directs the successful deployment of network and hosting services for all of Georgia Perimeter College. He is responsible for liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders for successful implementation of infrastructure technology projects. He provides oversight for translation of new infrastructure business requirements into technical specifications. He manages vendors/partners to ensure seamless integration and coordination of tasks. Manages the integration of enterprise services, telecommunications, data centers, data base services, and networking in the support of the Georgia Perimeter Colleges' mission.

Tyrone Riley is the Assistant Director of Network Services. He is responsible for strategic planning, technology implementation, technical support, network services and system management for Georgia Perimeter College’s voice and data networks. Tyrone provides leadership and support to a team of voice and data engineers which supports enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunication services in support of students, faculty, staff and researchers. These projects includes new construction or major renovations, interconnectivity between campuses, Internet services, Voice over IP solutions (VOIP), Unified Messaging, wireless network access and network security.

John Cothran is the Interim Assistant Director of Enterprise Server Support. He is responsible for strategic planning, technology implementation, technical support, and system management for Georgia Perimeter College’s Server and application services. John provides leadership and support to a team systems engineers which supports enterprise-wide infrastructure technology in support of students, faculty, staff and researchers. John also assists with projects including Data Center build out, new systems and database services to support college wide activities.

Debra Cronin is responsible for developing, measuring and continuously improving customer service as delivered by the service delivery units within OIT. She acts as liaise between OIT and the college community for IT customer service, IT client advocacy and customer constituency communication for OIT. Debra is responsible for assuring that the institution’s IT customer service remains of a high quality and is aligned with the institution’s expectation for service.  She is responsible for OIT’s communication plan assuring that bidirectional communications with the institution is continuously interactive regarding services. She acts as point of contact to ensure customers are satisfied with the service delivery of OIT. She is responsible for establishment of Information Technology governance and IT advisory structures for the college, which includes the formation of Academic Technology Advisory Committee and Student Technology Advisory Committee. Responsibilities also include management of projects that improve customer service for all constituent groups of the college.

Tracy Adkins, Director of Academic Technology

Tracy Adkins is the Director of Academic Technology in of the Office of Information Technology at Georgia Perimeter College. She leads a team of instructional technologists, instructional designers, trainers, academic system specialists, and digital media professionals. Her team assists faculty with the creation and design of instructional materials, online courses, videos, and podcasts. This team provides faculty with access to instructional design labs (IDLs) and equipment checkout programs. Tracy also manages the administration of services like iCollege (learning management system), GPC Rewind (lecture capture), Blackboard Collaborate (web conferencing) and Turnitin.com (plagiarism detection). Additionally, her team provides training opportunities to faculty, staff, and students on software, equipment and classroom technology. Tracy’s team also manages the student technology fee sponsored MediaSpots where students can access and reserve high end equipment for on and off campus use as well as receive training and support on using industry standard software and equipment.
Tracy holds an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology and B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia College and State University. She also attended DeKalb College know Georgia Perimeter College. She has experience working as a trainer, instructional technologist, learning management system administrator, and as a high school classroom teacher.  

Deborah Robinson, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

As Chief Information Security Officer for GPC, Deborah Robinson is responsible for directing GPC’s information security program. The program’s mission is to provide premium information security products and services to ensure that the value of GPC’s information assets is protected, that information security compliance requirements are met, and that sensitive faculty, staff, and student information is not compromised. Deborah and her team are responsible for identifying and evaluating risks to information, and for providing information security policies, procedures, standards, technologies, processes, and awareness/educational materials to minimize risks to GPC’s information. Deborah also consults with other organizational units within GPC to advise on information security issues, questions, and requirements.

Dawn Davis, Assistant Director of Projects & Planning

Dawn’s responsibilities include managing the day to day operations for the Projects & Planning office which include processing all project intake requests, meeting with customers, vendors, and OIT Leadership to identify and document recommended solutions, and prepare documentation for final College Executive Team review and approval.  In addition, Dawn works with the OIT Leadership Team to assist in maintaining the OIT Project Portfolio, Project Budgets, and the OIT strategic planning activities.
Other project responsibilities include serving as Project Manager, Coordinator, and/or Team Lead on selected projects, as well as assists in the development of project management processes and standards for the OIT Projects & Planning Office and the OIT organization.
Additionally, Dawn serves on the Information Technology Policy and Advisory Councils and represents the Lakeside Campus as a member of the Staff Senate.
