EPI
If you are considering the GCSC Educator Preparation Institute program, review the course offerings listed below. The Educator Preparation Institute is offered in both a hybrid format and full-distance model. The hybrid format includes a blend of online work and face-to-face meetings. Hybrid students attend one Saturday session per month, with the remaining class requirements completed online. Students participating in the full-distance model are provided with electronic access to materials included in face-to-face sessions. Each EPI mini-semester lasts for 8 weeks and 3 EPI classes may be taken in each mini-semester.
IMPORTANT: All EPI Candidates are REQUIRED to REGISTER and successfully pass the Professional Education Exam (PEd). To obtain your Professional Teaching Certificate, the Florida Department of Education requires you pass at least one Subject Area Exam (SAE). You may also be required to pass the General Knowledge Exam (GK).
