The CPT is given during the times listed below on a walk-in basis. You do not need to register for this test. A fee of $5.00 is required and must be paid prior to taking the test. The fee is paid at the bookstore or business office. Bring your paid receipt and a valid photo identification must be current to Room 129 in the Admission and Records building. The following are examples of acceptable identification: school issued ID, military ID, driver's license, state issued ID, or passport and must not be expired. A photocopy of your valid ID is not acceptable. Although the test is not timed, allow yourself at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete all portions of the test. The test consists of a mathematics portion, a reading portion, and a Writing portion. Calculators are not allowed; pencils and scrap paper are provided. Placement test scores are valid for two years. An application for admission to the college must be turned in to the Office of Admissions and Records before taking the test. High school students testing for the Dual Enrollment program are the exception and do not have to have an application on file, but MUST bring the permission letter from their high school and a valid photo ID. The following counties are premitted to test for Dual Enrollment purposes: Bay, Gulf, and Franklin. **Effective 10/03/11 The only items permitted in the testing lab are your car keys and your photo ID. Everything else should be left at your home or in your car.**
The times listed are when a student may BEGIN the test. For example, 8:00 - 12:00 pm means that a student must begin the test between 8 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon. If there is no time listed, but it says Pearson Vue testing, we are only testing Pearson Vue candidates that day.
