Graduate Certificates

Explore Leadership, Learning and
Change with a Global Perspective

Graduate Certificates offered by the Executive Leadership Program are designed to increase the learning, leadership, and change capacity of individuals and organizations with a global emphasis in Human Resource Development. Theory, research and practice are balanced throughout the curriculum. The programs allow individuals either to pursue a certificate or to take courses as electives. The programs take place at the Virginia Campus and affiliate sites in Asia, Europe and South America. Certificate highlights include:

• International experience
  
• Each session will be completed in one week
  
• Curriculum includes international company site visits and cultural exchanges
  
• World-renowned faculty and local guest speakers

These programs benefit mid to senior level executives who are charged with leading in international and multinational organizations. The learning design moves participants beyond knowledge to developing their own global competence through actionable learning in various locations around the world.

Certificate in Global Leadership in Teams and Organizations

The four-course program in Global Leadership in Teams and Organizations:

• Meets four times a year. Two classes are offered in Ashburn as well as overseas. This will allow certificate students to have the option of taking 2, 3 or 4 courses overseas.
  
• Consists of 4 courses, equivalent to 12 credits (students may transfer any or all courses into a degree program upon faculty approval)

Admissions

Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Leadership Development and the Graduate Certificate in Global Leadership in Teams and Organizations must meet the minimum criteria below for admissions:

• An undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution
  
• One official transcript from each institution attended, whether or not a degree was conferred
  
• A minimum of 2.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale from the most recent degree received
  
• Resume
  
• One page Statement of Purpose
  
• Two letters of recommendation

Submit your application and $75 fee to begin classes at any time and in any country. Or take just one course as an elective at any location.
