Beginning Monday, May 21st, students in all grades can bring in grade-appropriate, gently used books to the Library. The collection of books will run through Friday, June 1st. On Monday, June 4th, students who donated books can come back to the Library to select books of interest to take with them. CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDRE ARSLAN FROM THE MATH DEPARTMENT AND HUNTER MATH TEAM
Congratulations to Andre Arslan on winning the USAMO (Unites States of America Mathematics Olympiad) competition!  It took three competitions (AMC 12- 25 questions in 75minutes, AIME- 15 questions in 3 hours, and USAMO- 6 proofs in 9 hours), innate talent, and relentless dedication to problem solving!  Andre is the second student in the history of Hunter to win this national competition (Jeremy Kahn was a winner in the 1983, 1985, 1986).  Among all other national 11 winners, Andre will attend the Math Olympiad Summer Program at the end of which 6 students will be chosen to represent the US in the International Mathematics Olympiad.
