Enroll as a New Student

Follow the steps below to enroll in credit classes. Questions? Call 309-268-8073 for assistance.
Click here if you are applying as an international student.

To start:

1. Submit HCC application.
2. Confirm your residency in District 540.
3. Request official high school and previous college transcripts.
4. Complete Basic Skills Assessment.
5. Make an appointment to see an academic advisor.
6. Register for orientation.

Next steps:

1. Secure funding for college.
2. Using the login name and ID number provided in your acceptance letter, set up your myHeartland account.
3. Build your class schedule.
4. Register for classes through myHeartland.

Last, but not least:

1. Obtain your HCC student photo ID.
2. Pay tuition/fees by the deadline.
3. Activate your refund preference after you have received your Heartland OneCard.
