Center for Disease Control and Prevention
The CDC monitors all aspects of public health and works to prevent and control infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace hazards, disabilities and environmental health threats. The CDC also maintains national health statistics. -
Food and Drug Administration
A site to provide accurate, timely information about food, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices regulated by the FDA. Also includes a hot topics section. -

Illinois Health Statistics

Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
Information provided on this Web site is based on reports sent to the Center for Disease Control by state health departments. Two great resources from Merck. The classic medical text: The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy is available online. The 2nd Home Edition is based on the Merck Manual, but written in everyday language. -
