Welcome to the Department of Housing and Residence Education

Our mission is to provide well-maintained, community-oriented facilities where residents and staff are empowered to learn, innovate, and succeed. This department is responsible for maintaining facilities and programming in support of the on-campus community. Approximately 7,500 students live in single-student residence halls. Nearly 1,900 students and their families also live on campus in 980 apartments arranged in Village Communities.

Contracting is happening now!

You can submit your UF Housing Contract and $200 pre-rent deposit after you have been admitted to UF if you have a completed housing application. You are guaranteed a space provided by UF Housing if you have a valid housing contract and have submitted your $200 pre-rent deposit*.
*the $200.00 pre-rent payment is different than your tuition payment. All payments will be applied to the first charges listed on your gatorlink account.
