You already know Hunter College is easy to get to on the subway and that our MFA costs approximately $7,800 per year ($14,200 for your first year, if you’re unlucky enough to be out-of-state.)
But what’s a Hunter writing workshop really like? What will you learn? Is Hunter really better than College C or D or E? Are the students full of attitude? Are the walls splashed with writers’ blood? Can you get a degree and keep a job? Do the professors like to teach? For that matter, who will actually teach you? Do you get the help you need? How can you find out all this vital information before it’s too late?
The best way to get the real picture, the warts-and-all portrait, the truly uncensored view of what The Village Voice called the best MFA in New York City, is to come to our next Open House (details above). You’ll meet our faculty (and if you’re smart you’ll have already read their books) and you’ll have extremely frank conversations with our existing students.
If you're unable to make it to the Open House, however, you'll still find plenty of information about the program, right here on this website.
