Failure to Report
Jurors who fail to report as summoned are subject to penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Call the Jury Manager at 609-463-6650.

Dress Code
Jurors must wear clothing appropriate for an appearance in court. Shorts, T-shirts, or clothing containing statements or offensive symbols are not permitted. In addition, work uniforms, including police uniforms, should not be worn.

If You Are Selected As A Juror
Juror Parking
There are two lots available for juror parking. One lot is located on East Mechanic Street , directly behind the Doctor's Inn . There is a walkway from the lot to the pedestrian crossing on Route 9 leading directly to the main entrance of the Court Building. The second lot is located off North Boyd Street , directly behind the County Library Building . Enter from Boyd St. (see the link on this site to driving directions to the courthouse). When entering the lot, drive to the security gate, push and release the button on the black box and announce that you are reporting for jury service.
Other Factors Relating to Your Juror Service
Courthouse Security
All visitors, including jurors, will be screened for security purposes when entering the courthouse. Chemical agents, pepper sprays, or anything resembling a weapon will not be permitted into the Court House - for the safety of the public. Additionally, cell phones with camera capability are not permitted in the courthouse and should be safely locked in your vehicle.
Smoking Policy
The courthouse is a non-smoking facility. You may smoke outside the main entrances. If you do so, please inform jury staff so that we are aware of your location at all times.
Employment Protection
Please be aware that N.J.S.A . 2B:20-17 protects jurors from employment related retaliation and provides for the possibility of both criminal and civil sanctions.
Emergency Closings
For courthouse closings or access the judiciary's website at www.judiciary.state.nj.us/closings.htm or listen to local radio stations, including WZXL 100.7 FM and WCMC 1230 AM.
Term of Service
Petit jurors are required to be available for the week or one trial of service . You must call, check the recorded message, or check the website each evening prior to your service to obtain instructions regarding whether you must report. If you are selected, you must remain for the duration of jury selection process, and the trial. Once your service is completed, you will not be eligible to be selected to serve again for 3 years.
