Court Administration

The trial court administrator (TCA) is responsible for the administration of all of the courts in the Passaic Vicinage. The support staff in each of the Administrative Divisions in the Judiciary report to the TCA, who in turn reports to the assignment judge. The Surrogate's Office also reports to the assignment judge via the TCA.

Staff who report to the TCA are responsible for matters as directed by the assignment judge including the following:

Providing jurors for both petit and grand jury service
Facilities
Security in conjunction with the Passaic County Sheriff's Department
Public information
Statistical maintenance
Sound and video recording equipment maintenance for the courts
Interpreting services
Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunities
Training of court employees and judicial volunteers
Data processing

The TCA represents the judiciary in its interactions with county administration, the Passaic County Bar Association, community organizations, and various other state and local governmental units.

The Trial Court Administrator's Office is located on the sixth floor of the New Courthouse.
