The Department of Criminal Justice Studies has developed the Juvenile Justice Assistants Program in cooperation with 25 justice agencies throughout Northeast Ohio. Qualified university students and local residents participate in the day-to-day functioning of juvenile justice or victim services agencies, such as juvenile courts, detention centers, residential treatment centers, group homes, victim/witness programs, and child protective services. In addition to earning academic credit, program participants have the opportunity to integrate classroom knowledge with real-world experience.
Provides student volunteers to justice agencies in Northeast Ohio and assistance with evaluative research and with proposal writing.
