International Study

International study at Kent State encompasses students wishing to study abroad, international students that are interested in studying at Kent State, and those wanting to study English as a second language.

International Students

Kent State has more than 1,000 international students from approximately 100 countries around the world. These students immediately feel that they are a part of the Kent State community with special programming and student organizations that help them form relationships with all types of students.

Whether your future plans include graduate school, working in the international arena, or working in the United States, a carefully planned study abroad experience will help you become more independent and self-confident. English as a Second Language

Kent State offers a unique and individualized ESL program, providing well designed courses tailored to each students’ linguistic and professional needs. The ESL Center offers a variety of courses at various proficiency levels. All classes are taught by teachers who are specially trained in the communicative method.
