Kent State University is proud to serve as a model higher education institution by becoming the first public university in the state of Ohio to require teaching and learning strategies emphasizing community engagement and support. The Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement (OEECE) Showcase of Excellence in Action will recognize and celebrate faculty, students, and staff who committed their time and talents to address community needs through course-based experiential learning and service activities.
The event will host a display of model service activities that have provided academic experience to our students. The evening will also provide a chance to formally recognize outstanding service by members of the KSU community.
