Information about the international student experience at Kent State
At Kent State you will find a university where community is integrated with academic challenge. The university provides a balance of support services and recreational activities to complement a well-rounded educational experience.

Housing
At Kent State University seventy percent of our student body are residential and are part of the Kent community. This provides the student with a classic college environment. Kent State offers 34 residence halls from family housing to individual rooms. The wide variety of living choices will provide you with an on-campus residence that will suit your needs.

For information on off-campus housing options contact the Commuter and Off-Campus Student Organization or checkout the housing alternatives in the Kent area.

Transportation
Kent State’s PARTA is the second largest of its kind in the world. Bus service is available not just on campus, but to local shopping malls and the cities of Akron and Cleveland.

Safety
Kent State University is one of Ohio’s safest campuses. Department of Public Safety patrols the campus and residence halls 24 hours a day.

Career Opportunities
Students can utilize the Career Services Center web site to prepare for employment and locate on and off-campus jobs.

Student Organizations
Kent State offers more than 200 student organizations. Joining a club or organization is a great way to meet people and make lifelong friends.

International Student Services
Office of International Affairs provides a broad range of services to Kent State University international students, scholars, faculty, and university administrators.

Health Services
University Health Services is available to address students’ questions and concerns relating to both their physical and mental well-being.

Study Abroad Opportunities
Kent State University offers several academic study-abroad programs through the Office of International Affairs. Participating students will experience a balance of academic, linguistic and cross-cultural learning opportunities.
