Undergraduate Admission Standards
The academic requirements for admission are briefly described below, depending on the type of student you are. Kent Girl

  • Freshman — if you have not attended an institution after graduation from secondary school:
cumulative secondary school grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Transfer — if you have attended a college or university after secondary school graduation:
a cumulative collegiate grade point average of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Post-Undergraduate — if you have already earned a baccalaureate degree and want to take additional undergraduate courses:
successful completion of a bachelor’s degree

The Admissions Office will evaluate your academic credentials to determine if you meet these admission requirements.

Undergraduate Application Process
At Kent State University we are happy to service your application. Once we receive your application and fee, the process begins with an evaluation of your foreign credentials and English proficiency. The professional staff of the Office of Admissions will make a decision based on this evaluation and the other information you submit on your application. Your paperwork is then sent to the International Student and Scholar Services office where immigration documents will be issued and express mailed to you.
