Summer/Early Fall (before your senior year of high school)
Is Kent State the right school for you? Find out by visiting us.
Take a campus tour (offered on weekdays at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on most Saturday mornings at 9:30 and 10 a.m.).
Attend an Academic Tour Day, or our on-campus Open House program.
Take our online virtual tour.
Fall (during your senior year)
It’s time to apply.
Apply for admission.
To be considered for most freshman scholarships, submit a complete application for admission by Jan. 15.
Winter (during your senior year)
Now that you’ve been admitted, financial aid is next.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in January or early February.
Late Winter/Spring (during your senior year)
Be among the first students to sign up for your fall classes and for on-campus housing.
Attend the Placement, Advising and Scheduling System (PASS) Program. This program provides academic advising and class registration for incoming freshmen from February to June.
Return your housing contract promptly. (Housing information and contracts are mailed to admitted students beginning in the winter).
Spring (during your senior year)
It’s time to decide which school you will attend in the fall.
Sign and return your acceptance of financial aid.
Summer (your freshman year of college)
Welcome to Kent State! Fall classes begin in late August.
