Kent State University is ranked among the nation’s top 77 public research universities and among the top 76 colleges and universities in community engagement by the Carnegie Foundation. Kent State’s graduate programs are significant and diverse; the opportunities include 17 master’s degrees in 288 programs, the educational specialist degree in eight areas, and two doctoral degrees in 68 areas. Research quality at the eight campus system is superb, evidenced by 190 active U.S. patents for faculty research. Kent State’s outstanding reputation as a teaching and research institution is clear; for the sixth straight year, the Princeton Review recognized Kent State as one of the best universities in the Midwest.
