Information About Undergraduate Admission and Programs
An international undergraduate student is an individual who holds a non-immigrant visa to the United States and is applying for study at an institution of higher education. Before applying to Kent State, you must have earned an educational credential equivalent to an American high school diploma.

Freshman — Apply as a freshman if you have not attended an institution after graduation from secondary school. The requirement for admission is a cumulative secondary school grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).Transfer — Apply as a transfer student if you have attended a college or university after secondary school graduation. The requirement for admission is a cumulative collegiate grade point average of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
Post-Undergraduate — Apply as a post-undergraduate if you have already earned a baccalaureate degree and want to take additional undergraduate courses. The requirement for admission is the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree.
