Philanthropy and You

Philanthropy: The act of goodwill to your fellow citizens

What does philanthropy mean to you? To the nearly 500 students who made a gift to the Campaign for Change last year, it means helping fellow classmates by giving to a scholarship fund intended to help those in need.

Do you know how powerful of an act philanthropy can be? There is power in numbers! Student gifts of $5, $10 and $20 helped make this scholarship possible. Private support from alumni, parents, university staff and friends makes your Kent State experience great. From scholarships and professors to new technology and facilities, philanthropy is working for you!

Become a part of this culture of philanthropy and support The Campaign for Change Scholarship Fund!

Tradition: An inherited or established action or behavior

Kent State alumni may have started the tradition of giving back to their alma mater, but you have the power to keep it alive! The Campaign for Change Scholarship Fund is your first step to continue this tradition!

Do something good for others — make a gift today and continue the tradition of giving!

Legacy: Something received from an ancestor or from the past

You have the chance to follow in the footsteps of those who came before you through the Campaign for Change scholarship fund. Just look around you and you can see the legacies left by former Kent State students, like the Kent State University Archway from the Class of 1956 and the completion of the Roe Green Center for the School of Theatre and Dance in 2010.

Leave your legacy today! Your gift will reach much farther than your wallet — it will reach out and affect the next generation of students at Kent State.
