ADMISSIONS

Students seeking admissions to the Fashion School must meet admissions criteria for their desired program in addition to meeting the general university admissions requirements.

TUITION/SCHOLARSHIPS
The Fashion School provides scholarships for students in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising. Other scholarships are provided to fashion students through organizations such as The National Retailers Foundation and The Council of Fashion Designers of America. Faculty will tell students about these opportunities as they are available. Fashion students, along with other majors may apply for financial aid, including scholarships through Kent State University. (KSU financial aid website) All fashion school scholarships require a minimum of a 3.0 GPA to be eligible. Other requirements are listed under each scholarship. To learn which scholarships/awards apply to you please indicate your major and classification.  Scholarship application packets for Fashion School scholarships only, are made available prior to the end of fall semester.  Applications are due back the first week of classes in the spring semester.  Students will receive an e-mail and announcements will be made in class as well as posted on bulletin boards to make current students aware of the availability of scholarship packets.

To determine classification use the following criteria: 

Freshmen: 0-29 earned hours
Sophomore 30-59 earned hours

Junior 60-89 earned hours

Senior 90 hours through graduation
